Know Your Agent (KYA) means checking which AI agent is knocking on your door, and who sent it, before it can book, buy or see data. It is the AI-agent version of Know Your Customer (KYC) checks that banks run on people.
Why it matters
AI agents can act fast and at scale. Without verification, a business can't tell a real customer's assistant from a bot making fake bookings, scraping prices or testing stolen cards.
What a KYA check looks at
- Identity: which agent is this, and is it what it claims to be?
- Who sent it: is there a real person or company behind it?
- Permission: is it allowed to do this, and spend this much?
- History: has this agent misbehaved before?
What happens after the check
Trusted agents get fast access, unknown agents get limited access, and bad agents are stopped. Every decision is recorded, so if there is ever a dispute, there is proof of who did what and who approved it.
KYA in Aether
Aether, the AI infrastructure built by Riverside AI, runs Know Your Agent checks at the gate, enforces your rules as fixed settings, takes deposits before a booking and keeps a tamper-evident record of every request. Book a 45-minute demo to see it work.
